We knew the brand and design needed to stay true to this inspiring young woman, who is a role model for young (and not so young) Black girls. But the brand called for a bigger presence, to honor the purpose and passion of Ava. And to compete with established and emerging pet brands.

We repositioned her brand with a joyful and playful vibe that makes people feel good from the first connection. Just like Ava and our pets make us feel, loved unconditionally. After landing a brand identity, we created a cheerful packaging design system that communicates her purpose: to create a happy and healthy world for pets.

The 13-year old BIPOC founder of Ava’s Pet Palace wanted to get her brand and business ready for opportunities that were knocking on her door. She knew she needed her brand to grow-up and glow-up to get ready to be the next big brand.

We hosted several strategy workshop sessions with Ava and her business-mom partner Ina to discover and uncover unique positioning and opportunity in the trending natural pet treats category. Ava’s story had already gone viral when we connected, so we tuned into media and social to learn about her consumers and customers.
